Culturally Appropriate for Indigenous Individuals

Childbirth Education Class

All classes locally in Ashland, 210 Main St W. 

Date: November 2nd

Time: 

Indigenous Childbirth Education class is designed for birthing individuals and their support partner, to empower them around pregnancy and birth. By the end of the class you should feel educated and confident to be able to advocate for the care that you need with the tools/material that we provide. It is not about where we give birth, but how we give birth.

Indigenous Parenting Class

All classes locally in Ashland are free with light breakfast and lunch provided
Class dates: November 30th & December 1st
Time: 9:00am-1:00pm

Indigenous Parenting class is a 2 day class designed to support parents/guardians raising Indigenous children. By the end of the class you should feel more confident in understanding behaviors, limits, boundaries, and how to empower children. You will learn how to teach personal responsibility and respect.

Newborn Care Class

All classes locally in Ashland are free with light breakfast and lunch provided
Class dates: 2025 date to be determined 
Time: 9:00am-1:00pm

Indigenous newborn care class is designed for birthing individuals and/or their support partner/family to feel confident and comfortable caring for newborns, You will know best feeding practices to meet you & your baby's needs. You will be able to better understand common newborn patterns, what is concerning and not, and how to get through it with support.

Healthy Relationships Class

All classes locally in Ashland are free with light breakfast and lunch provided Class dates: 2025 Dates to be deteremined

Time: 9:00am-1:00pm

Indigenous Healthy Relationships class is designed for Indigenous individuals seeking to create healthy relationships surrounding their self/child(ren)/family. The relationships can be: partners, parents/children, family, friends, and co-workers. By the end of the class you should confident with setting and understanding your boundaries and limits, as well as ones others may have as well.

Dikinaagan Classes

2025 Bookings are available!!

Dikinaagan workshops are offered a few times a year, and they are to help parents/partners/care takers be able to build a dikinaagan for their infant. The workshop will take place over 6 days, and attendance to all classes are important in making sure you can complete the cradle board.

Moon Teachings for Youth

The first Sunday of every month, 2pm-4pm

Hosted once a month, youth will gather and will learn about what becoming of age means.

Join us for:


  • Ancestral teachings on rites of passage

  • Increased understanding of changes in the body

  • Knowledge of nourishment for the body

  • Support and guidance
